Know the Difference!!

Pressure treated wood is a wonderful improvement over untreated lumber. The treatment process makes wood resistant to termites and decay. In fact, the standard warranty states that the wood will resist termites and decay for as long as the original homeowner actually owns the house. However, there are several levels of pressure treatment offered. What you choose depends on your planned use of the wood.
Standard .25 treatment, used on most fence panels, is guaranteed as above so long as the pickets do not touch the ground. Standard .40 treatment can touch the ground and retain its warranty. All posts are treated to .40.

Sunbelt Forest Products offers the finest fence components available. All pickets are treated to .40 lbs. per cubic foot of ACQ chemical blended with the PreservePlus Water Repellent addiitive. PreservePlus is a wax-like additive that significantly reduces the tendency of wood to warp and crack. The fence keeps its good looks. And - you can put it right on the ground! The product has a three way warranty - to resist termites, to resist decay, and to retain its water repellency for 50 years.
